Since 2018, young people aged 15 – 18 have explored and developed their creative writing skills through the Sherman’s Introduction to Playwriting programme, which has helped nurture the voices of young writers. The UPROAR festival brought together performances of work by existing and past participants. These emerging writers use the medium of theatre to explore and define their positions in the world, tackle difficult subjects, and stay true to their individual creative process. Presented here, are the scripts that were performed during the UPROAR festival. A mixture of styles, genres and casting requirements, these short scripts are a perfect addition to any bookshelf.
