Join us in the Foyer on Monday 18 November for an afternoon of free activities as we celebrate Cardiff’s sanctuary seekers. The afternoon will include drop-in craft activities led by Aurora Collective, a free lunch and performances from Nganga Nigerian dance group, Oasis One World Choir and Ukrainian singers.

The afternoon will end with a performance of new piece Requiem, performed by the Oasis One World Choir and featuring internationally renowned Chinese experimental percussionist Beibei Wang. Requiem includes choral song, dance and live percussion and celebrates coming together in times of loss.

In November 2019, Sherman Theatre became Wales’ first Theatre of Sanctuary. The status awarded by City of Sanctuary recognises the Sherman as somewhere refugees and asylum seekers can feel safe, welcome and supported. Find out more.
