There are few things to look forward to when transported to barren Australia, as a convicted felon. Amidst brutality and the squalid conditions of a newly founded penal colony, stories of empathy and redemption emerge.

Sherman Players bring intensity and heart to Our Country’s Good, the classic play by Timberlake Wertenbaker. The committed and talented non-professional Sherman Players bring to life intriguing, tormented characters, skilfully depicting the emotional connections made between officers and convicts among upheaval and uncertainty in 1780’s colonial Australia.

This thought-provoking story of humanity, justice and redemption will spark many discussions post-performance. You will be drawn in by the powerful performance.
