FREE FUN FOR ALL THE FAMILY
Join for a fun filled weekend as we continue to celebrate our 50th birthday year and the return of our friends from the Horrible Histories stage show. Our not so horrible weekend makes history fun!
Did you know? The Sherman was the first theatre to stage an adaptation of the much-loved Horrible Histories books
Activities for ages 5 – 14 include:
– Have your face painted like a Celt and wear your woad with pride
– Go on a behind the scenes tour of the Sherman
– Decorate a Tudor Crown
– Craft a Victorian Cameo Silhouette
– Enter our photo booth and take a historical selfie using a selection of costumes from our wardrobe, or come dressed up as your own favourite Barmy Briton and win a prize!
– Colour in the Bayeux Tapestry
Simply turn up on the day to enjoy the activities. The only activity you need to book in advance is the Behind the scenes family tour. Tickets for the Horrible Histories show can be booked separately but you don’t need a ticket for the show to enjoy the activities.
We expect demand to be high for these activities, therefore please plan to arrive as early as possible if you wish to take part. Workshop places are subject to availablity.
